The main thing to focus on with keyhole is to solve the back 2 corners and the left corner without rotating the cube. Then you use wide u turns to put an open edge slot where the open corner is. After this, you something like a R U R' to insert the edge while you are looking for the next one. For the end, you should know the 3 corner inserting f2l algs and the 2 edge inserting algs. I did an restricted solve(I normaly use CFOP) where i just used keyhole, 2 look oll and pll(i could not force myself to use a 2 look pll) and got a 26 without planing the solve in inspection or rushing so it is defidently possible to get sub one.

Under one's username, it usually says "Member", sometimes "Mod" and "Premium member" can be seen. I have seen things such as "colorful" and "super-moderator". My question then, is it possible to change that "title", if not, then how do people get different things under their user names?

You can do that once you become a Premium Member. Then you can ask a mod to change it for you.

What other meaningless internet perks come with being a premium member?

Is there a super-secret members-only section of the forum where you sit around drinking martinis and laugh at the filthy commoners in the normal forum?

Thanks Sarah.

I find the benefits rather useless but I will actually become a premium member in the future because this forum benefits me all the time.

Here is an example. On page 65 a corner permutation case #04 is "(x) R2 D2 R U R' D2 R U' 1" or page 65 case #08 "R U2' R' U2 R B' R' U' R U 1 U R2' F (x)". Not sure what the "1" means in these algorithms. I looked on page 11 table 3.2 but that did not help. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

On page 11 table 3.2 you find the lower case notations: l is in there too and there is a diagram next to it :)

l is "lower case L", not "1" and means turn both Left and Middle layer at the same time.

When running a zanchi loose, Occasionlly my corner pieces spin round, leaving me with what looks like a parity case on the solved cube. Any mods to stop this? Or is it a case of tighten it and Have to deal with it?

Tighten it. It'll also break it in. Does yours pop?

H-Permutation without Quarterturns?

Hello Speedsolvingmembers!
I finally registered myself here.
I wanted to ask you guys how is it possible to do a H-Perm only with half turns.
Scrambling the cube without half turns will rarely result in a H-Perm.
Fortunately i don't get it when i want.
So my question is:
Is there a way to do a H-Perm only with [R2,L2,U2,B2,D2,F2]?

P.S. I searched the forums and the algo database without success.

3[R2 U2 R2 U2 R2 U2 y R2 U2 R2 U2 R2 U2 y']

(R2 U2 R2 U2 R2 U2 y R2 U2 R2 U2 R2 U2 y')3
R2 U2 R2 U2 R2 U2 B2 U2 B2 U2 B2 U2 R2 U2 R2 U2 R2 U2 B2 U2 B2 U2 B2 U2 R2 U2 R2 U2 R2 U2 B2 U2 B2 U2 B2 U2

What color scheme is best for megaminx? Right now I can't tell the difference between the red/orange, blue/purple, blue/other blue, and purple/other purple.

So far I'm thinking white/fl. yellow, fl. orange/red, green/fl. green, mint/blue, lavender/pink, and silver opposite something else but I can't really decide which color that doesn't look too close to anything else. Ordering from here
/ is opposite and fl=florescent.

I'm suprised that no one posted this H perm:
R2 F2 U2 R2 U2 F2 R2 F2 U2 F2 U2 F2
It's optimal, as far as I know (Of course only under the half turn restriction).

MF8. Very nice colours and not too clashing for recognition.
