how did you get that number? I did a quick calc, and just multiplied the number of OLL's by the number of possible PLL permutations(72) and ended up with more than 4,000

My post says :

Not even including mirrors and inverses, there is a total of 1,211 cases for a one look last layer.

1211 * inverses(2) *mirrors(2) = 4844 cases. So you're still right. I got that number from the wiki here and I just assumed it was correct.

I put the date and time (14th March 2006, 12:26 GMT - time would be different for you due to time zones) on the Poodwaddle 'How Old R U' clock. That told me how 'old' the forums are. Then, I did the time divided by the post count/thread count/member count to get the numbers. I wonder - if the same measurements were made every now and then (e.g. first of every month, at a fixed time), would they gradually change?

Mine started chipping after a week. But only the <M,U,R>would chip, because thats the main ones Id use.
Its been months and if you look from far, still looks like new.

PS: I do about 80 solves a day.

Holy crap! I'm lucky to do 10 solves on a weekday and 30 on a weekend. Still consistently 13's.

I wonder if I could get fast by doing 100 solves a day.

Mine started chipping within 1 day but that might be because some of the stickers were put on really crooked. I do ~100+ solves a day maybe? I just cube all day during school and a little at home and on the way to/from school. Some start peeling then chip off later.

That's right. My Dayan Stickers had the first chip in a few days. Just exactly 1.2 months later, the whole cube looks like it has been used for half a year. But, luckily, I like that type of stickers, usage stickers.

Turn slowly, look ahead more, don't sprain your wrist when doing OH, make your OH hand stronger, use good fingertricks, practice R U' and R' U, then move on to just doing sexy move over and over again (on the cube) until you can do it smoothly, and just practice. Might be easier if there's a video so I can be a little more specific.
