i know that but would it be an unofficial +2

It hasn't been defined yet. However, to be consistent with the other puzzles, one would think the decision might be made based on whether it is within 60 degrees of solved. Less than 60 degrees, solved; more than 60 degrees, +2.

Due to the clicking of most skewbs, I would prefer that it had to be closer than that, but 60 degrees would be most consistent with what the limits are for other puzzles.

If it is noticeably either way, turn it that way, then determine its +2 status. If it isn't noticeably either way, go with the benefit of the doubt and say no penalty.

cool

wow that is good to know and thanks Mike

break down:
cross: ~4 seconds
f2l: ~15 seconds
oll 1: 0-3 seconds (keyhole to cross alg takes me 3 seconds)
oll 2: ~2 seconds
pll recognition: 1-2 seconds
pll 1: ~3 seconds
pll 2: 0-2 seconds (i know about half of full PLLs)
with an overall average of ~28 seconds.
besides cutting down PLL recognition, which step should be my priority?

Solving the centers of a 3x3 bandage cube

I have solved the bandage cube before but now I can't seem to solve the centers. i don't know why and no tutorials help me solve them. can anyone help me?

Your LL seems fine, just keep learning the algorithms for LL. Cross and F2L would be the first priority.

I've recently bought a DIY ZhanChi cube, and it's the first "proper" cube I've had since my last 3 have been Rubiks brand cubes. I love it so far and I've gotten new personal bests with it, but what I've noticed is that it pops very often, at least once every 1-2 solves, and the pops are very violent. It feels like it's exploding in my hands and at least 3-7 pieces just launches away from the cube. I've tried different tensioning settings, I've lubed it frequently and I'm working on breaking it in. Do I have to change my cubing technique, or tension it better or anything like that?

Tighten it, lube it less and turn more accurately.

Did you use the torpedoes when you built it? I guess you did since you say that it explodes. You probably just need to get used to the feel of the cube and learn the kind of movements that make it pop since you're used to a Rubik's brand.

Would you guys consider this to be a good quality video or is it still kind of bad?

Why do people keep saying "Japanese writing"? They're a Chinese company; they write in Chinese using Chinese characters. YES, Japanese uses kanji which is an adopted form of Chinese characters (hanzi) but this isn't kanji...

And no, the video quality isn't "good". It's only 360p.

Hello my fellow forum members, mods and admins!

I learned F2L just a few weeks ago. It's great and I use far fewer moves than with LBL, but my averages had gone to far over a minute after I learned it. I don't know why. I've practiced a LOT with it. For the past 3 weeks I've practiced my hand off and I haven't gotten much faster and am still stuck over a minute.
