I think Kirjava should hopefully give you the best explanation, but I think the idea is first to solve the cube like it's only got 3 colours, so treat opposite colours the same. So when you have say all yellow/white on top bottom and blue/green on side and red/orange on front/back (or however you end up holding the cube) then you can finish the cube only using half turns.

 ok I think that might not be a real solution

Lolhelp?

You trolling or are you just stupid? That is in no way helpful. I was hoping for a better explanation than "Push it back in". Duh I wanna push it back in. However, It doesn't just fall right in. I'm not going to just force the piece in, I'm asking for a way to get it in.

I don't see why you would post an answer like that, seriously. Think before you post please.

Can I get a proper answer please?

thats what i did when my rubik's brand popped like that

Turn the top layer to a 45, remove the middle edge, put the 2 pieces together, then put them both back in by putting the center towards the fixed center (while holding to 2 pieces together), then pushing the edge down. It's not as complicated as it sounds.

As for Womack, just ignore him

EDIT: WHAT? WOMACK IS BANNED? IT'S ABOUT TIME!!! (sorry for all caps, I was just so excited)

Is the piece broken?
If not, just take the edge pieces out and put the center in that way.
EDIT: Ninja'd

Ok, this edge refuses to come out. Any ideas?

EDIT: That was the first thing that came up on google when I typed it "how to disassemble rubik's 5x5"....

Twist the side so it's halfway through a turn, then try to pop out the "wing" edge (the one touching the corner). If you can't do it with your finger, try a screwdriver.

I am not responsible for any damages.

How does one get a cube into a specific placement so that I can practice the F2L algs? Like, it would make sense to practice them in order, memorizing them each 1 by 1, but there are so many different cases (42 i think?) that when I make a cross odds of me getting one that I'm trying to memorize are slim.

I'd recommend intuitive F2L instead of algorithmic F2L, but if you'd like to learn it like that, you can set up the case by either doing the inverse of the alg for that case, or by doing the same alg over and over until you get the case for that alg.

how do I put my rubiks 4x4 back together after a center piece, corner piece, and 2 adjacent edges popped? basically a 4x4 corner:

I don't want to have to take it all apart and do the centers etc, its so cumbersome...

EDIT: I am pretty lazy haha. Just had to take out all edges, slide the centers away, and insert the last center, then reverse the process.

Started cubing again at around September, I was averaging about 1min 30, in about 2 months I became sub 30 and it feels like I just stay there.

As much as I practice it feels like it's not making me any faster, I been stuck at between 25-30 over the past month, last month I did an AO100 and got 26 ish, now my average is around 27-28 and I've practised more than 100 hours. What am I doing wrong? I'm solving it over and over. My aim is sub 20. Please help with tips and how I should practice.

Slow down on F2L and try not to have any pauses. At first your times will become even worse, but then when you get used to looking ahead you will be faster.

My 6x6 is fully modded, except adjustable core and dirt. Outer layers still click, enough to slow down my solves considerably. I've already solved it about 60 times these few days and not much improvement. Do I have to do the 5x5 corner mod? I'm not sure if the bumps on the 6x6 corner bases contribute to the outer layer clicking.
