Stackmats where originally designed for... STACKING CUPS.
I cannot for the life of me understand how having a metronome built in the stackmat timer would ever be of any usage for stacking cups.

A metronome can cost you $10, you can even get a professional one for $30 (I played music professionally for years and I never had to spend more than 30 bucks on a metronome) or heck, use one for the computer (such as 'GiveMeTac') and you'll get one entirely free.

Metronome built in a Speedstack timer is downright unneccesary. They are so many other ways around it that are cheaper and better.

How far do you go to avoid cube rotations during F2L? See the case below, but imagine holding it from the other side so that the red-blue pair is at back left. The 2 options I have are y'U2L'U'LRU'R' or LU'L'U2L'ULU'L'U'L. The first is shorter but the second avoids the rotation. So what would you choose? Or is there a faster alg that avoids the rotation?

I would go ahead and eat the y' here.

Or U L' S U2 S' L hehe...

Does the tension on a GuHong change after thousands of solves? I hope it doesn't. I stink at finding the right tension and I bought a GuHong which has been perfectly adjusted now so I hope it stays this way. :D

My Ultimate kept it's tension for several thousand solves before I retired it... only thing was it slowed down from dirt, but I refused to take it apart to clean the screws incase I couldn't get my perfect tension back :)

Thanks for the reply. So if I understand correctly, as long as I don't touch the screws, it should be fine. :D
