Stuff like doing R' F R F' instead of U R U' R' to flip 2 LL edges. Avoids dot cases and such if used correctly.

Is there some kind of scrambler that will scramble the OLL, but you can set it to make dot cases only?

This should work. Check the boxes for all the dot cases or whichever you know and submit it (on the bottom of the list). It should only show you those cases then. Click the first (on the left) blue button and it show pop up with the scramble for the case. Scramble, solve, then click the arrow on the right to go to another case. This doesn't time though, just pretty much for recognition.

Press PLL on the left side to make the letters white. do the same thing to OLL but insteed of white it will be gray.
And dont forget to press "enter" (The arrow pointing right)

after you put in the scramble of course.
