Hmm, a few (multi-part) questions..
1. What is the best way to go from 2-look OLL to knowing all the algs? Like, what's the best way to memorize them? By shape? I'm assuming there's a better way than solving F2L, then consulting a cheat sheet for which case it is and how to solve it, over and over.
2. Is there a good way to scramble on the fly? May seem like a silly question but I've googled before without much luck... it feels like I spend A LOT more time trying to scramble the cube properly than solving it. Any tricks?
3. Is there a glossary somewhere with the cubing vocabulary/abbreviations? I read quite a bit about cubing and know stuff like OLL, PLL, etc., but sometimes I come across stuff I don't recognize. e.g. to this day I continue to guess at what "lucky"/"non-lucky" means.
Info: I have a storebought which works decently after having been broken in and lubed, but I prefer my Ghost Hand II. I average in the 40-50 second range. I do cross, intuitive F2L (Fridrich), 2-look OLL.
Bonus Q: Does anyone know what the ideal tightness is on a GH II? I've been having issues with what I believe the speedcubing community calls "lock-ups" (again, kinda need a glossary) - I'm sure a big part of it is that I make sloppy turns, but I'm wondering if adjusting the tightness would help.
