Maybe you didn't get the point. WV is for when you already have all edges oriented and wanna skip OLL as you insert your last F2L pair. So yes, it does completely skip OLL but only in certain cases.

If you're looking to skip OLL everytime, well, stop looking =p

Depends. Lubing helps corner cutting a bit, which will reduce lock ups, but it really depends where the lockups are coming from... it the lockups are because the peices aren't smooth, lubing will help. Might as well give it a try...

It depends on how far you got with it.
Did you understand the concept?

The main difference between the alpha cubes is the corner and edge pieces. The newer ones will have better ones. And haiyan is not worth price, you can just mod a alpha 5 to be like it or just wait for the cc.

dayan guhong is the best from what I hear, if you can find a site with one on it seeing as though we have the verdes issue.

If you didn't know the scramble, how would you handle the cross case?

Which just happens to give me a PLL skip when I solve that "scramble" with my cross.
