If I use Tperm instead of Yperm for Old Pochmann, obviously the setups will differ.

My question is - Does it really matter if I use T instead of Y?
As long as you don't mess with the 2 edges Tperm switches you're good. You can use Y, J(a) and J(b) to shoot for any of the 3 corners in the top layer for example since you won't mess the edges.

I just use whichever alg takes the shortest setup, as long as it moves the same edges

T perm is for the edges and Y perm is normally for the corners but T as corners would work but I think it would be slower

Cheers guys.

not cubing related but does anyone have a car plugin for an ipod? so that you can play your ipod while driving? It shall be for my 98 chevy malibu if that makes any difference

Ive found some already but some first hand experience is nice

You can get some cassettes that connect to your iPod depending on what kind of system is in your car.

thanks but i'd just prefer the ipod plugin so i can just straight up stream my ipod and listen to it
That's what the cassetes do, you plug the cassette into your ipod and then put it in the cassette player, and it plays whatever you have your ipod set to play, but if you don't have a cassette player in your car, then i don't know what you would do.

i was speedsolving my 3x3 guhong and 3 pieces (2 corner pieces and 1 edge piece) all which were aligned in a line fell to the ground.when i was fixing them bak,i didnt knew their correct positions and fixed them wrongly.

Now when i complete my f2l,no OLL pattern comes up.how can i come to know of the correct position of all the pieces?

disassemble your cube and reassemble it solved

Here's an interesting solution to having 1 edge piece flipped... Take out any random edge and put it back in flipped. You'll either correct the first one or create a different solvable state. On a 3x3 it's possible to just flip 2 edges, therefore any cube with two flipped edges is solvable. Corners are trickier :(

many options are available.
1. Buy a new stereo with a aux in.
2. the cassette thing.
3. Bluetooth.
4. Fm transmitter.

FM transmitter is the best option, im actually looking for a new one myself.
Only advice is, dont get an ipod specific one because they are ridiculously expensive.
Get a headphone jack one, that plugs into the cigarette lighter thing, otherwise you need batteries for it. They work amazingly well, if you have the right station set.
Also try to find one that you can set any station instead of the ones with a few presets.

I have the same problem with my LingYUun :/
Basically I do what Godmil said for the edges, and if a corner is twisted, because of the unique structure of the guhong and lingyun, i just twist the corner in place, without taking it out.
All my pops happen during basic moves like R U' R, and other simple finger tricks. Mainly during F2L and the beginning of A perm.
