just got my maru and noticed that two of the screws are nonadjustable

is that normal, or is the core like stripped or something

also just got a YJ 5x5 and it seems to comes with either textured stickers, or tiles
never seen tiles before so i am not sure which.
help appreciated
Yes it is normal for you to not be able to adjust 2 of the screws.

They are textures stickers, tiles are usually a bit thicker.

It should help somewhat.

How to permanently get rid of Maru 4x4 internal lockup? Especially frequent when doing double layer turns.

I watched Badmephisto's F2L video a while ago and I try doing as little cube rotations as possible, but I don't do any F or B moves anymore, I put it in using only U, R and L moves; and instead of doing a F move, I do a cube rotation and then complete it with RUL moves, is this bad and should I try doing F moves as well?

Just re-bumping this because I don't think anyone saw it (I edited it in pretty late)

just got a maru 4x4.
how long/ how many solves before it turns smoother?
especially the inner layers

my eastsheen cant cut corners at all, but at least it is super smooth

also is it legal in a competition to set the cube down during a solve. because i tap my 5x5 down on the table to every once in a while to align everything.

should i learn one more oll even though ive a comp in a week? this oll annoys me cos it comes up often(for me)

definatly. you have plenty of time. and if it comes up often, then your recoginition is already good for it, so learning ang using the alg will be easy.

good luck.

ive been waiting for a comp in texas for over a year now. the only one was the small cubes thing
which wasnt worth the 15 hour drive

what is a good time for the 4X4 OLL edge flip parity alg. i can do it in about 6 sec. just wanna know what the pros do it in, to see how much improvment i need

I've already seen that >___>. I was actually looking for something more like an example solve, except with cross and maybe first f2l only. Something like Escher's thread in F2L lookahead in the guides section thingy xD
