Both are normal sized. There is a painted version of each. The cubies are different in some way. Try the cube types sticky in Hardware.

Should I de-tile my Mefferts Megaminx when I get it and put cubesmith stickers on it?

cube4you stickers are not good,cubesmith stickers are better

Agreed, cubesmith stickers are WAYYY better than cube4you stickers.
And cubesmith tiles are definitely more durable, but some people dont like them.
Its your choice.
