I don't think anybody knows when/if he's doing it except maybe Zane. Last I heard about it was his comment from 8 months ago.

We can only hope he solves it at the 2 year mark.

Of course you can try to fix them.

It leads to an interesting point though. At what point are you not allowed to fix it anymore?

Obviously it you literally popped every piece out you wouldn't be allowed to fix it (I would think). If you popped like half of a 3x3 could you repair it?
It's probably just judge's discretion.

Take a look at these 2 scrambles. I've simply inverted every individual move of the scramble. Apart from the visual similarity, are these scrambles related in any way? Can one predict what the second scramble will be like given a picture of what the first scramble looks like?
