I have recently switched to CFOP and average around 18-19. My F2L takes 8-11 seconds and I have a terrible last layer (4LLL).

1. How should I go about learning OLL and PLL?

2. How much should I improve once I have learned both?

Just learn a lot of the easy OLLs, and also learn the easy PLLs. Your times should drop maybe down to 7 seconds if you learn full PLL and half the OLLs, that's about where my LL is and I average 17-18. My TPS is good, but my LL is really locky and pausey.

also, you're kidding about your ZZ best being 5.22 right?

Sooo, let me get this straight. The procedure for timing yourself on a computer timer is:

-Leave scrambled cube on table
-Start timer and inspect cube
-While holding cube, start timer
-Solve cube
-Stop timer while holding cube

..Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

There's not really a 'procedure' as such. I guess everyone does it like this is because it's the natural thing to do.

I got a Moyu Lingpo 2x2, and I don't love the stickers. I want to buy different ones, but I'm not sure on the size of the cube (I think it's 50x50).

Will this link work? It says it's for Dayan but if the sizes are the same it should work out, right? I'm also worried about the inside curves, wondering if it'll fit and look good or not. If not, where could I get replacement stickers (with different options for colors) for Lingpo 2x2?

EDIT: never mind it says it'll fit the Moyu Lingpo 2x2. I'm stupid.

But does the curve fit, too? It looks a bit different.

Understanding megaminx notation

I've been trying to learn how to solve a megaminx with Odder's Megaminx guide.http://www.kungfoomanchu.com/guides/odder-megaminx.pdf I feel like an idiot asking this, but I don't understand some of the notation. What does [R] or D mean? I have solved everything until the corner permutation and I just can't get that last step. Thanks in advance smarter people!
