Whenever I do Gb Perm, most of the time I start doing Ga Perm. (Just started learning Gb)
Has anyone else have that happen to them? How do you stop doing this?

I found using completely different algs for all G perms helped with this problem, although it doesn't make them easier to learn. At least I don't find myself using the wrong one.
Or, just keep practising, and eventually you'll learn which is which.

You could think a bit more in-depth about how you recognise the G perms.
Approximately my method: next to the block's outer stickers there's either opposite colours or adjacent colours visible. That reduces the possible cases from 4 to 2. For my algs which I think are the typical, opposite colours means the alg starts by removing the F2L pair below the block. From there the case is simple to determine based on whether the block fits in R or L, and then the alg is simple to recall. Adjacent colours however mean I start with an R2 move breaking the block. From there, the case is easy to determine based on whether the block fits in B or F, and then the alg is simple to recall.
You might not use the same algs I do, but being able to differentiate the cases is a good start, and with practice it will gradually become easy and automatic. Then, you can also start adding extra algs for the y2 cases of each alg, so that you don't have to AUF as much.
Any suggestions for doing the G(a) perm from the back(shown below). I've looked at the wiki, but I need more ideas. How do you guys do handle this case? Any rotationless or good algs?

F2 D (R' U R' U' R D') F2' (L' U L) ...it's in the wiki (so you've already seen it). Here's how I do it:
Grip right thumb on down face. Flick F2 from above with Right index and Right middle.
Regrip to right thumb on upper face while doing the D with left ring finger. Use right and left index for U and U'. Right middle does the D'. As you do the D', shift left grip so left thumb is on the down face.
Use left index to do all of the F2'. Left thumb can help push the L' and right index does the last U.
... I'll be releasing a guide to my favourite algs for all 84 angles in the next week or two, will announce it on forums.
24*22*20*18 distinct cases

you should be able to bring it down to a quarter of the cases to 47520 if you are [y] neutral, but then I feel something is off
no idea if you are not having fixed cross colour though
