You can use it when you don't! Hit control or command S depending on Mac or PC when you're on the page. It's just that stackmat timers won't work, but it's not a big deal.

Here's what happens:

When I have internet, I go to the timer, keep the browser window open, it works after I disconnect the internet.

If I close the browser window and go the the saved webpage when I have internet, it works.

When I've disconnected the internet, close the browser and open the saved webpage, it doesn't work. Not sure what to do...

I finished modding and lubing my shengshou 4x4 v4 today. I only modded internal peices and the ends of the corner stalks (moderate sanding on all of these pieces). I know that this helps stop internal catching, so what does modding the centers and edges do, and is modding them really important?

Mainly the easier lookahead as with E slice you are able to see the edges on U face easily and quickly with U turns. When using the M slice it is generally considered harder to see the next edge, although for some people M slice is still faster.

I finish cross and f2l in about 20 to 24 seconds,
And finish oll and pll in about 5 to 7 seconds.
I am currently learning full pll and know about 9 or 10 olls.
What do you think I need to learn next?

Usually the ratio cross+f2l : LL is 2:1. If you can do LL in 5-7 seconds then your cross+f2l should be about 10-14 so definitely that part is your weak part right now. For more specific help on your solve, you can make a video and post a solve in the Solve Critique Thread.

Some say the corners look different; I say it's just the torps. And the change from "v1" to "v2"

Is it true that the v1 plastic is different giving a smoother feel? If so, is that still true for new v1s bought today?

What is the best way to know my TPS?

Hello! I came across a bunch of threads recently and the term "TPS" caught my eye in several of those. I searched for more threads with TPS in the topic and they were mainly focusing on using metronome to calculate (I don't know how that works). The wiki says once a solve is reconstructed, it can be used to calculate TPS, and I came across a thread earlier with the posters reconstructing their solves. I'm just curious because I want to know if my current average (40s) is affected by too many moves (I'm a bad cross maker and I do lots of cube rotations) or failure to do efficient look-aheads. (or maybe even both). I'm not even sure if I'm fast enough to fiddle around with this topic, but I think it would come in handy once I am.

Just solve slowly counting each move, keep in mind to solve it like you would normally.
