So I only solve cross on white, but I'm thinking of doing other colors because of cases like this. I can do my cross really fast usually, but in every 15 solves or so I get a case where I don't exactly know a good solution for it, and that usually puts me off for the rest of the solve. Could someone please give me a good solution, not necessarily an optimal one but also maybe a finger trickable one, so I could maybe learn some other tricks for cross?

U B2 U B2 F2 U L2 U B2 R2 U B U' R2 L D R' D2 B' F L2

I'm not too good but.. whatever.
Inspection: x' z'
Cross: U2 R' F' U L B' L2 z2/x2
Or maybe..
Inspection: y' x
Cross: D2 R' B' D L F' L2

Long story short, I somewhat over-Konsta'd my SS 4x4. It's usable, just really loose. And I'm wondering what I can do to fix it. I've tightened it to the core, and it isn't doing much. My friend is gonna let me try some 6x6 springs to make it tighter, but I really don't know. Should I try replacing the core/springs and other hardware or just live with it? What should I do to fix my 4x4.
This happened on my SS 4x4 though I undermodded mine. Basically SS has blah-ish QA/QC and some cores are bigger than others (I've measured up to .75mm deltas). Basically you have it near bottomed out and it's not tight enough to hold everything together. Putting longer or stiffer springs won't help since you'll get to the same point (distance between centers and core) and it'll just be every so slightly stiffer for that quarter millimeter you can move the center relative to the core. The solution is to trim/shave the core. I took about 1mm off all sides and it was a ton better.

Can someone compare the Huanying and Weilong? In terms of feel, speed, etc. Or is there comparison video? I didn't see one.

I thought you tried my weilong and someone else's huanying at the competition?

anyway, IMO, weilong is slightly faster, huanying feels a lot cheaper (like a dollar store cube), huanying feels more scratchy while weilong is more smooth and like a mix between the zhanchi and shuangren (or if you've ever felt an AV before, it's exactly like a faster smoother A5). Weilong also feels slightly looser than a huanying at similar tensions (huanying feels slightly more "solid" and less like it's about to explode even though the weilong never will explode unless you have it set at crazy loose tensions).

Lol I did. But I forgot what they felt like. I think I am going to get the Weilong. I really liked yours.

So I have a question regarding rotations. I have come to point where I can comfortably insert pairs from all angles, however I find that doing so makes it extremely slow to execute compared to only doing R and U turns. Should I do cube rotations to get a more fingertricky solution or is it better to insert them way slower by doing B and F turns?

Thanks in advance :)

Would the QJ timer (sold on thecubicle.us , I think it's a v3). Would that timer work with Prisma? Cause the QJ v3 has a date port too.

QJ doesn't work with Prisma D:
But it'll work with CCT

I remember someone posting a link to TNoodle scrambler were it shows the scrambles online instead of downloading the scrambles. What was the link again?

If I remember correctly feliks said 3-4 cube rotations is optimal for f2l. I think he said it in his walk through solves videos. He even said that he is working on cutting down rotations cuz he does a lot. Personally, I never use B, but there are 2 cases where I use F sometimes.

I am looking for a really thorough sq-1 tutorila for getting it to square intuitively. Does anyone know one? and whats is the average / to get to cube from any scramble.

Whats the best sq-1 brand? Im looking for one that can "cut corners" If mine is even slightly misaligned it locks, and sometimes It locks so back that it gets thrown from my grip.

I have that same problem with mine. Sometimes if I try to corner cut on mine it pops. BTW what brand is yours? I heard that the MF8 V1 is good and I rarely seen reviews talk about corner cutting.

I have no idea. My worst problem is remembering which cube is which, especially when its the same type. I can only name 2 of my 3x3s. But my square-1 I got inside of a square-2 box that I ordered from cubedepot, so absolutely no idea.

Was actually considering rounding off the corners like konsta/florian(forgot which is which) but figured I'd ask if a better brand already exists. Will order a new one anyway in case I mess it up. Will update if it works.

EDIT: After dissasembling to mod, saw MF8 under a cap. Its about 2-3 years old. So if it is a V1, then the cutting is horrid.
