I was scrambleing my cube today and it popped. I looked every where in the room I was in at the time. I dont want to be a new dayan zhanchi but i will if i have to. is there any where that does replacements for dayan cubes?

I just bought a new one, just because I thought by the frequency of lost pieces, it would add up to one new cube eventually by the time I stop cubing.
If it's a one-off you can go Cubicle, else, buy a new zhanchi for spare parts whenever you lose pieces.

During F2L when only the last pair remains, the two pieces are beside together and over the empty slot like on these two examples. The optimal way to insert them I guess is learning algorithms from the wiki for the 5 unpaired cases. But I´m not at the state where it would benefit me that much so I would like a more intuitive way that can be used for all cases. Today I would probably do a Y' U separate the pieces, pair them up and insert. That is hardly a good way since it sometimes require two cube rotations.

Two other ways I could think of is:

1. d R' U R
2. R U2 R'

... and then pair up and insert. Is there another way to do it? Any recommendations/tips for how I should do the pairing?

The second one is both intuitive and fast: d R' U R U' R' U' R. You're just breaking the pair and then inserting it, but if you do it in one motion it's extremely fast.

The second one is one of those cases that has a couple of really fast and simple algorithmic solutions, and it's probably worth learning one of them. The most popular would be either R U' R' U R U' R' U2 R U' R' or R' U2 R2 U R2 U R.

When is the WCA ban on Haiyan Zhuang getting over? Will we get to see him anytime soon?

Does anybody know if he still cubes nowadays(and involved with CCA ? )

Haiyan got banned for three years in late August 2010, he should then be able to compete again in WCA comps by the end of next summer. I highly doubt we will see him again, though.

No recent news of the CCA, I don't even know if it's still active.

Why was Haiyan banned? I forgot the reason lol

Cross is pretty easy and I'm practicing F2L intuitively, but the last layer I do with the beginners method, so my question is, should I learn the 2 look OLL and PLL first or should I immediately go for the full OLL and PLL algorithms learning?
