I lubed my MF8 square 1 with CRC and now the U and D sides are turning way too fast. when I try to do a U move it does a U3. How do i I make the U and D sides a bit slower?

turn more gently.

If you are asking for algs here are mine.

H perm-R2 U2 R U2 R2 U2 R2 U2 R U2 R2
Z perm-R' U' R U' R U R U' R' U R U R2 U' R' U2

Some people prefer to use table abuse to turn the M slice but I like 2-gen algs for OH

Use a sharp metal knife to stroke across the edge of the sticker row and slowly work your way through

Yeah, that happened to my MF8 Legend. They have really crappy logo stickers.
