I have been speedsolving for a month now and I know F2L very slow at it and a couple of OLLs and PLLs but thts about it. I average about sub 60 should I stick to Fridrich or learn a new method

You should try experimenting with other methods like ZZ, Roux, Columns first, Petrus, Fridrich/CFOP, etc, and see which one you like best. Then do that one.

My wit two type c 2x2 keeps internally popping what can I do about his???
And my shengshou needs to be tightened abit, will tensioning it ruin my cube because its brand new and I have never tensioned before.

Hey everyone, I have been desperate to get my hands on a 9x9x9 cube. Having done my research, I had a couple of querys that some people may be able to answer:
1. Not too many good things have been said about the YJ 9x9x9. Is it really that bad? I mean, is the popping that noticeable in casual cubing (vs speedcubing)?
2. Does anyone own a Shen Qi 9x9x9. E3cubes are telling me that it is not as good as the YJ 9x9x9! I thought someone might know something about it.

I feel like my F2L/LL skills are much, much better than my cross. I average about 15 seconds, but never use X-crosses, and sometimes have trouble planning out my cross still. How can I force myself to get better? What have others done to really work on their ability to see into their first pair? I feel like if I can get my cross faster I will be sub-15 most of the time. Any tips?

My understanding of M2/R2 is that you use commutators to solve the cube. M2 is to solve edges and R2 is to solve corners. You do M2 and then R2. Could someone please explain to me cycles and how that allows you to solve the cube blindfolded.
As you can see, I know nothing about BLD. Everything above is a educated guess based on what I have read so far. However, I would like an answer to the question...
You might notice that I edited this question. My original question was regarding how M2/R2 solved a cube edges first.
I have been asking a lot of questions about edges first solves lately, and that is because I trying to create a really good beginner's method. One of my requirements is that there are minimal to no algorithms. That is how I got the edges first idea.
However it came to my attention that M2/R2 did edges and then corners (at least my understanding... I don't really know anything as I stated above). So I realize that it is vastly different from a beginners solve; you have memorizing, loads and loads of algorithms, and other things as well, but my question still is:
Is the concept of edges first in M2/R2 the same as in a beginner's method? Of course ignoring the way you get to the edges, because those are obviously very different.
