I bought my Dayan Zhanchi on eBay, and when I received it, its interiors had, and still have, dust in them.
I don't find any oily lubricant in it, so I FEEL that the dust has been added as a lube.
I don't have a good lube at home either, so should I clean it up?
Does anybody else have this situation?
I mean that the dust may be the only lube within the cube... and I don't have a good lube either.
So... what do I do?
I highly doubt that the dust was intentionally introduced into the cube as a lube. All of my Zhanchi's came prelubed, but the lube only lasts for a short time. If your's has been used much, or if is has sat for awhile prior to your purchase, the lube probably just dried up. Honestly, you can get away with using no lube at all on a Zhanchi. It will not turn as well as it would were it lubed, but it will still turn better than most other cubes. I would recommend finding some lube though... look for anything silicone based.
