But what if people get mad or annoyed at me?

If you're quiet and reasonable about it, I'm sure there will be other people on the plane doing something more annoying than what you're doing. I wouldn't worry about it.

But don't shout or spike the cube when you get a new PB; that might get annoying.

My first successful 5x5x5 BLD solve was on a 13-hour plane flight. I was really really happy, but I didn't shout or anything. People just wondered why I was smiling so much.

Haha ok, I will be doing mostly 3x3 BLD since I've only had one success. Maybe I'll try Multi-BLD since my brother will be bringing my very first cube I let him borrow. (Storebought of course)

The nice thing about doing BLD is you can even be quite inconspicuous about it, assuming you're in the air and things are calm. Instead of using a blindfold, just pull down the seat tray and solve the cube under the tray. For the most part, no one will even know what you're doing! And the tray even muffles the sound. It works very well.

Thats actually genius! Thanks Mike. Now i cant wait. :)

Why does my DaYan LingYun cube get dusty very quickly? 10 solves after cleaning it its dusty again, and slowing cube down. Its new cube, came in mail 3 days ago. How can i fix this issue?

Combined Finals (or combined first rounds) have a soft limit which the competitors must break in order to finish their averages. Usually you get the first two solves no matter what, and if you get a time faster than the soft limit you get to finish the average, otherwise, you just get the two singles and don't finish the average/make it to the next round.

You've probably already heard this before but practice slow solves and find efficient ways to pair and insert the pairs. You could also of course, learn multislotting techniques and other advanced techniques that will speed up your solves. Practice transition from cross to F2L as well. You're faster than me so not much I can say.

Does anyone know how I can get pen ink off of my Z stickers? :S

I had a 'little' accident xD
Don't have much time but try searching on google: "how to remove pen ink off plastic stickers" or just plastic will do.

first post!

anyway, so ive been stuck at about a 50 sec average for a couple days now after just switching over to intuitive fridrich f2l a week or so ago (was also at about a 50 sec average before the switch).

roughly my times break down into about 5-10 sec for cross, 25-35 sec for f2l, 10-15 sec for last layer (4 look)

sooo how do you guys think i should progress from here? is f2l the main thing i should focus on for a while? should i start learning some of the algs for the trickier cases? practice look ahead / inserting pairs blindfolded / no cube rotations / etc? is that slow for 4 look last layer / should i be executing my algs faster? begin learning full pll? stop timing myself for a couple days?

i know thats a whole lotta questions but any insight would be appreciated :)
