Okay - I'm a very new speedcuber. Average around 60 seconds. I solve F2L by a beginner's method - Insert 3 corners, insert the edges using the un-inserted corner as a working corner, then insert the last corner with an algorithm. I used to take about 40 seconds for cross + f2l by this method.

I'm planning to switch this F2L method to the fridrich edge/corner pair insertion or ZZ method. My question - which? I know the basics of solving by both these methods now but can't decide which is faster. I need some help.. what do you all say?

Which one feels better?

just got the ayi 4x4x5. the misalignment is really making it difficult to enjoy, wondering if anyone had a similar experience/knew what to do about it. thanks

edit - while posting i was trying to use it and layer popped. this is what it looked like inside. maybe i just got stuck with a bad one?
