I swapped out the stock Guhong parts for a C4Y core (the red one) and some stainless steel screws and springs. I noticed after about 1 month of play that the core seemed soft or gooey. I'd lubed with lubix so I figure it must be the core itself, the C4Y core is much sturdier and just feels better in my guhong than the stock core did. As far as the screws and springs, I'm just paranoid, I noticed that they were magnetic and that got me thinking that the chances of them rusting and corroding over time was much greater. I happen to work at a hardware store, I took one of the screws and springs in and bought actual stainless steel versions of both. They feel the same in the cube, but my mind is a Little more at ease about them.

Sorry, but what happens if they're magnetic, how does this cause rust or corrosion?

when metronome solving, for those of you that do, do you do your double flick in 1 on 2 beats?

Sorry, I forget that not everyone is a recycling fanatic and a hardware store employee. lol Steel Is magnetic, steel also rusts. Stainless steel is not magnetic and is not prone to corrosion and rust in the same way that regular steel is. That's why most outdoor grills are made of stainless steel, since they're going to be exposed to the elements the stainless offers much greater protection from rust and corrosion. In fact stainless steel can last years without showing any signs of wear, especially when it's being used as something so gently used as the screws and springs of a speed cube.

Thanks for your help :)

I bought a LA 20-tile magic on cube depot, and accidentally jumbled it. If anyone knows how to fix or solve it, please tell me.

Edit: It's back to the scrambled state, anyone know how to solve it.

I hope it's this: 20-tile magic vid

BTW, my v-cubes are too loose, so is there any way I can make it less loose without modding it?

So nobody has any idea how to get in touch with cube4you if they decide to just ignore your problem?

In a related question, does anyone have an edge piece for a black 3x3 legend cube they want to sell? I hate to have a cube sitting there one piece short....

Does anybody know a beginner's method for square-1? I want to learn how to solve it, but don't want to get into a method that has a lot of algorithms (I'll learn an advanced method later).
