What's a good lube for a V-7?
I used CRC Silicon Spray (I disassembled the whole thing, lubed it, and reassembled; I wanted every piece to get an equal coat of lube). Along with regular breaking in, my cube's performance has improved greatly. My PB has dropped 3 minutes since I lubed it and I don't know how much to thank practice for that. The lube helped substantially... I broke my PB by like 1 minute the first solve.

Where can I get CRC? I don't really want to order from the internet just because it's always a hassle for me. I only have Lubix which is bad for big cubes because it's nearly impossible to work in. I have my 7x7 in pieces and I'm just doing some sanding and cleaning up after the crappy molding process. I plan on washing the old lube of off all the pieces either way so I'll definitely need a new lube.

So for the long term, CLL will be the way to go to speedsolve it, correct?

I hate 2x2. I'm no expert. EG is a ton of algs and CLL is part of EG iirc. EG is ~100 algs. Maybe more. For some reason 120ish comes to mind but it seems high. read the wiki articles about them and wait for someone who actually does 2x2 for a more informed answer. As far as I can recommend though it should be something like

intuitive CFOP----->Ortega----->CLL----->EG

However a lot of people stop at CLL

Lubix is easy to work in on big cubes. Add more, go from different places on different sides and different layers. Bam. lubed.
