Yea I put Lubix in my mf8 Square-1 and I put in a bit to much so it takes a minute or two of turning to get it really moving but it's still very good. At some point I'll clean out a little of it but right now since I'm still learning Square-1 it suffices.

Edit: Sorry for the double post. My wifi was lagging pretty bad for some reason and this was the result.

Click the edit button, then click delete. Problem solved. :)

I figured that out the hard way.

If I were to mod a square-1 into a slim-1, would it still be comp legal?

Today I totally forgot how to do my Na permutation, which I've been using for over a year.
I always hated that case so I guess its time to try learning a new one. Any suggestions? I suck at L moves, so please no algs with Ls in them.

R U R' y /J perm/ y' R U' R'

Ewww..... I use z U2 R2 F (R U R' U')^3 R2 U2. However, I may switch to x' R U' R' D R U R' D' R U R' D R' U' R D'. Thrawst has a nice E perm but it has L moves . Those are my suggestions.

First of all, no need to ask your question twice. Second, if someone doesn't answer your question, it doesn't mean they are ignoring it. They most likely do NOT know the answer to your question, so don't go around assuming someone ignored it.
Finally, why do you need a mod? It's already good in my experience. Just lubricate it and adjust the tensions.
Thanks, and sorry for posting twice. (:

So why would you post a response based purely on speculation? You seem to know so much and yet, so little.

I was just trying to be helpful. Even though I might not know much about square-1, doesn't mean I can't help.

About the E Perm there 17 Algorithms to chose from. I seem to like the second and the fourth, but It comes down to personal preference.

You've also got these options to chose from also.

z [U R' D R2 U' R D']*2 R' z'

To avoid L moves just do z,z'. The Nb permutation can be done in the same fashion, just starting with D, instead of U.

I really enjoy solving my megaminx, I'm not terribly fast with it yet (around 4 minute averages) but even at that speed I find it pretty entertaining a puzzle. Is the Cube4you gigaminx a fairly quality puzzle? I'm thinking about saving a little spare cash and picking one up. Are there better gigaminx options out there?

Also, any idea where my solve time on the gigaminx would be, I'm assuming somewhere in the 25 to 30 minute range?

Besides the C4U teraminx, there is an mf8 one I think. I don't own them so I don't know which one is better.

At least an hour or two on your first solve...

I live in India, does anyone have an idea that which cubestore has the fastest shipping to my country,i have a compeition on the 27th of this month and i have broken my 2x2 and i need a new square 1

Basically what souljahsu said, if you buy from a U.S. store, then it'll probably come in 1-2 weeks, which is plenty of time to break in the puzzles/get used to them before the competition.

R U R' y /J perm/ y' R U' R'

lol, i tried do do Nb instead by doing the other J perm, and it did a Y.

Considering how fast my J perms are, I might use my newly discovered Y perm instead.

Anyone have the V-Cube dimensions? That's really the only way to know besides getting it for yourself and measuring it.

I'm fairly sure most 2x2 are the same size, or within a few mm. So I would think that they would fit.
