Is there a list somewhere of extended notation pyraminx algs?

Nobody?

Why do you want algs in extended notation? And what kind of algs? You can just convert it yourself...

But I'm lazy.

*sigh* Fine, I'll do it. Any tips for not wasting time on conversion?

hmm first of all why would you need extended notation? Just do the algs a few hundred times and you would have your own execution style...

Because face turns aren't very natural for me. They're faster, but I wouldn't naturally develop face turn triggering.

It may be a dumb question, but whats extended notation?

It adds face turns.

If face turns aren't natural, why use it? Oka is about the only method I know that uses face turns and it has a max of three per solve...it just seemed strange although it's logical for cubes to be face-turning, the internal angles of the pyraminx is just too little for that to work I guess.

1. They're faster for me, they just don't feel as natural.
2. I use Oka.
3. I just need 3 algs, one of which I already have written out in extended.

I see. Okay then :) basically you just convert each turn into the opposite face, and have cube(pyra) rotations.

My question: Why is Hong Kong and Macau listed as separate countries? It's kinda weird that when they get a record it says NR.

Hong Kong and Macau run economically independant of mainland China, as well as politically, therefore these places are called "special administrative regions" within China.

As a result they can be independantly considered as seperate places, sort of similar to Monaco, in that is a principality and not a country.

A pyra question.

When doing LBL and theres one edge left to complete the first layer but this edge is in the right place but flipped. Is it best to take the edge out and put it back in the right way or solve the last layer then perform the alg that flips two edges?

If you understand that.

For me it's faster to take it out and put it back in.. I have tried the other way too but the last layer gets too confusing.. And maybe if you would practise this then it wouldn't confuse you anymore but I don't practise LBL any more.

why don't you just do the flip alg when its in its place then do the last layer?

Thanks heaps guys. :)

I never thought of that. I guess it will just come down to whether i can do the edge flip faster or taking it out faster as each leads to a last layer alg.

I would do this. Just use a 2-flip that doesn't require a rotation (at the start):

L R' L' R L' U L U'

or

R' L R L' R U' R' U
