Is a Ghost Hand a cube4you core with F-I cubies? Because I traded for a GH at a meetup recently and I took it apart and it's just that. Well, F-I cubies and a red core, that looks like a cube4you core.

There are a few types of Ghost Hands.

The GH2 is clearly not made with Type F pieces, as it is the cube with a "washboard" appearance on the edges, and centers, with ridges on the sides of the center pieces, partially truncated edges and very rounded corner legs.

The original Ghost Hand (probably the one you are referring to) has similarly shaped pieces, and the cube in general seems to be closely related. I'm almost positive that while GH is a Type F *clone*, it is a different cube.

The red core that you saw was probably swapped out by the owner. I for one replace a lot of my cores with C4U cores because I like the colour (light cube-dark core, dark cube-light core). They probably replaced the core to adjust the cube better, give the cube a better appearance, strengthen the cube, or any combination of those three points.

In short, the Ghost Hand is not just a Type F with C4U core.

Thanks. I have a feeling the original owner had a Ghost Hand, and made this "Ghost Hand" out of a F-I and c4u core. The cubies are almost certainly F-I cubies (I have an F-I to compare it to) and the core is also probably a c4u. Damn. I wanted this cube not because it was particularly good, but so I could have a GH.

Stuff you Jeremy :)

Why don't u guys have a shoutbox? rubikvn 4rum has one, it's much more convenient when inneed.

btw, i'm a member from rubikvn :D

The lan lan 2x2's from Speedcubeshop are just basic lan lan's, correct? No mods or anything applied?

I haven't lubed mine yet and I probably got it 1 or 2 months ago. Would lubing it decrease the corner cutting ability or speed it up too much?

What does F2LL stand for?

I think it's just a nickname, it's winter variation.

Hmm, just a side note;

Winter Variation is actually named after Lucas Winter. He created the variation to "give the Petrus Method a One Look Last Layer" and he "deliberately constrained the algorithm set to the RF corner-edge pair to restrict the total number of algorithms to 27" so that people "wouldn't get bogged down by needing to know the reflections necessary to insert the RB corner-edge pair".

He also competed in the 2003 World Campionship.
