How fast SHOULD I be before I change to CLL, or should I change to Guimond?:confused: right now i use ortega with an average of 10secs (dont say im slow ;) )
CLL
1. first layer (really bad at)
2. LL
fast but first LAYER and recog for LL would be really slow for me
Guimond
1. weird side
2. OBL :D
3. separation <--:eek:-->
4. PBL
omg but weird side goes by really fast
and OBL's short
but separation and PBL take forever

I would just stick with Ortega for a while. CLL is obviously faster but more advanced and requires the memorization of 40 algorithms. You should be able to average 5s or less with Ortega.

42 actually.

I need to approximate (I don't know the appropriate math things; I hope this makes sense)

4/3*pi*3963^3

but the best I can get is 2.60711883x10^11. I'm not sure if my teacher will accept it in scientific notation, so is there anyway for me to get more exact? (The limitation is from my calculator (TI-30XIIS) not having enough room for more numbers.)

If it isn't ok in scientific notation, just write:

26,071,188,300

I think that is right.

I was thinking that too, but I'm not sure how she'd feel about it. I'll just write everything I can.

And wouldn't it be 260,711,883,000?

more like 25-30 really, lots of mirrors and junk
@sharkretriever (see bolds in post)
1. Practice, it gets really easy after a while.
2. Not as hard as it sounds
3. seperation is pretty easy and very fast...

How would I do this 3-cycle earlier in the solve, to save moves?

Scramble: R F B' D B U F' R2 B2 U B L F U' D R' L' U L' D2 U' R2 B F D'
2x2x2: D U2 R2 F U F'
2x2x3: z' B' R' D2 R' F D' F'
Edges: x2 L F' L'
2x3x3: y' R' U' R U2 R2 U2 R' U' R' U
LL: R2 U2 R2 U' R2 U' R2 U2 R U2 y' x R2 D2 R U R' D2 R U' R

Can you see any other improvements I could make in the solve? I only spent 15 minutes on this, but I don't think I could do better.

Possibly.

I am a musician, I can't count past four :P

The A-perm is optimal, but I don't know about the OLL.
