hey there,
is U2 better than commutators for solving X-centers for 5x5 in the sense that it requires almost zero cube rotations?
Can the + centers be solved with commutators too? Does the wing edges for the 5x5 only have 1 orientation, like the 4x4 and only the m slice has parity and the wings do not?

I know there are a few threads regarding this but they mostly do not cover everything concerning the title, so I thought I'll ask it here.

thanks in advance.

I'm not sure about some of your questions, but all 5x5 centers can be solved using commutators, and if you understand how they work, solving them will be pretty much the same.

U2 requires less cube rotations but more awkward setups. What is "better" depends on your personal preference.

Yep.

The wings behave exactly like on the 4^3: they have only one orientation, and you can get a parity on them. But contrary to the 4^3, you can't swap two wings while letting everything else in place, you have to swap two +-centers as well (you have to take this into account if you solve wings before centers).

The midges behave exactly like the 3^3 edges, and you can get a corners + midges parity which is similar to the 3^3 parity.

My friend give me a cube today. I don't know is it a AV or a Haiyan Memory. How do i know which type is it :D tks in advance

CLL trainer?

I would like that :D Also an EG trainer (even though I still only know like 25 CLL's and 1 EG1 case)

I'm sure you could just perform the EG cases with a CLL trainer, since you should be seeing the bottom layer permutation during inspection anyway.

If someone is going to make one they had better let the user set the orientation for each "set" since people recognize them from different angles.

Also being able to toggle certain cases on and off would be extremely helpful.

Is there a way to dye a black cube white?

I'm pretty sure you can't, but you could always desticker, paint, and then resticker it.

And is this an eastsheen?
No.

My question:
How long do Cubesmith orders generally take to process? My order hasn't even processed yet and I ordered it three days ago, while every other online order I've placed has processed faster. The only exception to this was a shirt I ordered recently from fangamer.com, and the shirt money was going to charity and was being advertised by an extremely popular video gaming charity organization, so the website had a huge influx of orders.

And is this an eastsheen?
No.

What is it then?
According to the list, DX=EastSheen so I would have to say that it is. Having said that, it's not in the usual EastSheen colours (or what I assume to be the usual EastSheen colours, as with this, this and this.) I also can't see the logo so...dodgy!

Also, if you read the description:
"Brand new and high quality, produced by our manufacturer
4x4x4 DX PVC Sticker Magic Intelligence Test Cube"

Where as, for an EastSheen:
"Brand new and high quality
4x4x4 ES Magic Intelligence Test Cube "

I don't think that it is, tbh. No idea what it actually is though.
