How does FMC work in a competition?

Do you have to bring another cube, get it to the same scramble (like MTS), and write a solution down on paper?

I suggest reading the regulations for a more detailed answer. But basically you bring a cube and you are given the scramble. You put your cube in the scramble and try to figure out a short solution. You can solve and scramble as many times as you want.

How long are 2x2 optimal scrambles?

I ask because CCT has it already set at 25 characters long and I'm not sure what to shorten it to.

Optimal scrambles means taking a standard length scramble and displaying the shortest solution for it. You shouldn't set CCT to shorter 2x2 scrambles because those will just be short (but not optimal).

Try downloading a newer version of CCT.

How hard are the CLL sets, from hardest to easiest? I already have Sune learned, & basically anti-sune & want to get the easy ones out of the way now, so I have more solves with CLL.

For CMLL, I'm doing;

H->-P->-T->-U->-S->-A->-L

I have a quite new V-Cube 7 white. The original lube in it sucks. I love jigaloo. I solve my V7 around 8 times now.

1-Should I give the cube time before relubing?
2-Should I put vaseline and/or dust in it for a day or two?
3-Should I clean the old lube off the cube before putting Jig-A-Loo in it?
4-Does it really make a difference on the V7 if I take it apart for lubing? (I do it with new 3x3x3 or when it's been a while since I've lubed it, but the V7 will be a pain to reassemble).

5-If I have to disassemble it, can I make little and simple mods to make it better?
6-Making a adjustable core is worth it? (Don't forget that my PB as of now is 19 minutes, so I'm no way near a beast at this).

7- Am I the only that after I finish solving the V7, all normal cubes feel curved ''the opposite way'' (concave in french) '''''''antipillowed'''''?

Well if you are given the scramble couldn't you in theory get a 25 move solve every time?

Do people ever forget an algorithm for their method, because they don't get that case for a long time?

I Did.

I say 'did' because I haven't learned any new algs for my main method yet.

Ok. I was thinking more along the lines of;

-Learn algs for a method
-Use method (and algs)
-Not get case for a long time
-Forget alg
-Get case and not be able to remember alg

Cola, which case was it (I want to find out probability), and how long do you think the gap of time was between getting it?
