hmm i've always wondered what notation does people use for 7x7 BLD? i mean, one face has already 25 centers and 6 makes it 150? i just wanna know what lettering scheme or numbering scheme does one use, thanks

Well, let's see. On the cube, there are:
24 corner stickers
24 midge stickers
24 inner wings
24 outer wings
24 inner + centres
24 outer + centres
24 inner x centres
24 outer x centres
2 sets of 24 oblique centres

So, you only remember the entire 7x7x7 cube with just strings of letters from, from A to X.

means you memo like :abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz and when you reach the end, you start over abcde again?but you have to remember the order of memorization right? as in, centers 1st, then edges then corners?

I Have a Chinaminx. It locks up way to often. I hate it.

I can not get a meffrets Megaminx. Is the MF-8 or QJ better for casual solving if all i care about is not having lockups and not speedsolving?

MF8 is good. I hear black is better, but I prefer Glow-In-The-Dark.

Also, it's a good idea to replace the springs with ones more easily compressed if you can. MF8's pop a lot, so the better springs will prevent that.

I hear that the mefferts megaminx says "Mefferts challenge" on every center tile...

Would that be competition legal, seeing as only one logo is allowed on a puzzle?

Technically, this should not be tournament legal. However, the judges seem to let it slide.
