E: question: is YouTube just really slow for me, or do I not know much about uploading? I'm uploading an Ao5 which is ~2:30, but it's taking an hour and a half to upload. Is this normal?
It's been on 72% for a while, but the time remaining has gone up by about five minutes in the last 10 minutes (26 -> 31)...
E2: up to 36 mins in the last 11 mins. Still 72%.
E3: gave up and cancelled upload because it was getting late. Usually it doesn't do that, but it does usually take an hour or so to upload a 3x3 Ao5. Is this the same for other people?

What quality are you uploading it in? 1080p will take so much longer than 480p.

That is probably forzen. It once happened to me when my video was processing. I waited 1+ hours but still it did not process. So next day I tried uploading again and it happened flawlessly. Might be because at certain times Youtube has too much traffic so it can freeze. Try again at another time.

How can I distinguish between the newer and older batches of the AoLong V2?

Thr older batched of Aolong are probably all sold out but the older batch of Aolong will be way slower out of the box then V1. And newer batch Aolong will have similar speed as to V1.
So if it feels sluggish, it is older batch.

Well the other video I uploaded yesterday was 480p (that's the highest it goes in the settings), so I guess that one must be 480p too. Most of my 2:30ish Ao5 videos take an hour to upload...

Usually I take 6 hours to upload 2:30ish 3x3 ao5 videos at 480p :/

The older batch of the Aolong V1 is very sluggish. The Aolong V2 V2 is much faster. He's not asking the difference between an Aolong V1 and V2. He means the difference between the old and new batch of Aolong V2's

PLL time attack: do all the PLLs in a row and time the total time it took you.
PLL speed: practice and drill your PLLs, or just ignore LL and it will gradually get faster. F2L is more important.
New cube: not necessarily needed, anything from the Dayan age forward is good enough for anybody who isn't sub 8.

Only if the plastic is of one solid colour, such as full black body with stickers. The one in the picture isnt allowed

No, you should not get a Yulong or a Liying. You should improve your accuracy, and maybe tighten your cube. But don't blame your cube for your lockups.
