Y perm on top:
R U' R' U' F2 U' R U R' D R2
Y perm on bottom can be done by cancelling the end with R2 F2 R2, which is just like inserting an F2 before the end:
R U' R' U' F2 U' R U R' D F2 R2

also that adj swap on D in your post is genius (and yet so obvious), thanks kennan
shame it doesn't work with my alg... R F R F' R U2 R' U R U2 R... meh

Thanks for the alg. I was actually using the 3x3 Y-Perm, and that alg is a lot shorter... thanks! I also like that bottom T-Perm because it's the 3x3 T-Perm, but you replace the first move with an R' and you end with an R2, so it's easy to remember.

I use the normal Y perm too; I don't like that one, but I use the one with F2 before the end because it's very useful.
Yeah, that alg is just R2 (to bring the corners to U), T perm, R2. So simple, yet so effective. I don't usually do the normal T perm on 2x2, but it's faster to use it in place of my normal alg, so I'll start using that in solves. Thanks!

Hi everyone. I'm newish to cubing and I'm working on getting faster with my F2L. Can anyone tell me if there's an efficient and quick way to get this misaligned pair correctly aligned and placed? Screenshot:

Thanks in advance :)

More F2L shenanigans

Hey again, I saw a video where someone solved this F2L case:
f2l_case_2_cropped.jpg
by doing this alg: R U' R' d R' U2 R U2' R' U R

This seems incredibly cumbersome to me and I was wondering if anyone knew a better way?
Again, thanks in advance :)

Hey Cubers! Please help me answer this question!

Hey guys I was inactive cubing for about a month and a half. My times went up a few seconds like 5 on each cube besides skewb and 2x2. If i continue cubing like i did before should I be back to normal times?

Yeah, I haven't ever really found a great algorithm. My method is just to separate them and reinsert them. It takes a while, but it doesn't take that long. My way: R U' R' U y' R' U2 R U R' U2 R.

Someone asked a few weeks ago but it doesn't look like it was anwered.

If you make a move during memo during MBLD, is there a penalty, a DNF for that cube, or a DNF for the whole attempt?

It would most certainly be a DNF, and I'm 85% sure that it's for the entire attempt.

From "multiple blindfolded solving"
H1) Standard blindfolded solving procedures are followed, as described in Article B (Blindfolded Solving).

From "blindfolded solving"
B3c) The competitor must not apply moves to the puzzle during the memorisation phase. Penalty: disqualification of the attempt (DNF).

Since a single blindsolve counts as one attempt, and same with a MultiBLD attempt, all of the cubes pretty much count as one.
