Well the GuHong i know standard would work but for the Lingyun I can tell they are a little smaller. Should I get 1.4 for the LingYun? And for the Alpha V? And what about the Alpha V-f? I'm just scared I might get the wrong stickers.

How do you do your M M' and F' turns?

M = Right index finger on BU (right thumb on FUR and middle on BRU).
M' = Push BD with ring finger (and for M2' the ring finger is followed by the middle finger).
F' = Right thumb on DFR (or left index finger on UFL corner but just when scrambling I don't know why).

regular ones. Standard set from cubesmith worked perfect for me.

EDIT: What are you talking about havo? Standard set is perfect on my Guhong.

Didnt clarify, I own a lingyun. and standard stickers, the edges peeled after a few solves so I had to shave them down with an x-acto knife when they peeled.

So, Lingyuns are smaller than guhongs? didn't know that.

If you can find 1.4. I have 1.5(the ones I linked to) and they look the right size, holding them next to the cube. Haven't applied them yet. Waiting for the old ones to die.

Can some one clear up Dayan's cubes by listing all of them in order they came out. Could you also put both names such as Dayan II/ Guhong

Not sure of their very first cubes but

Dayan II
Dayan GuHong
Dayan LingYun
Dayan GuHong POM

Don't quote me on that though.

Either the Dayan I or II was called the taiyan.

It is the:
Taiyan 1
Dayan II
Dayan Gu Hong
Dayan Lingyun
Dayan Gu Hong POM

the company switched their name or something go sold from tiyan or something i dont know the whole story but thats how it goes

Why was an 'E' turn chosen as the same direction as 'D' instead of the direction of 'U'? Since we look at the up layer most of the time and do more 'U' turns, I would have thought it to make more sense the other way round (clockwise as viewed from looking down onto the up layer).

Odd layered cubes can have no parity. I think you are talking about last two edges algs.

I originally thought they were parity as well, until it happened on my gigaminx and I asked how to solve the parity, and people told me it wasn't a parity.
This is not the same thing. On the gigaminx there are actually no parities because all permutations of the cubies are even permutations. On the 2n+1-layered cube there are n possible parities, one for corners (+midges) and one for each orbit of wings. The way to deal with them depends on your solving method, but usually, fixing the corner parity is simply doing AUF at the end of the solve. In the reduction method (since that's what you're talking about), all wing parities get fixed while pairing the last edges.

Shock Oil slowed down my modded OH Guhong, I tried putting in D39 right after but no effect.

What lube will speed up cubes? I thought shock oil did...

It could have to do with mixing lubes, try cleaning it first.

Speaking of, I normally clean my pieces with warm soapy water, is there a better way to get rid of all of the silicone residue?
