So I'm trying to hook up my stack mat timer to cct, and I have all the wires and stuff attached and sometimes it works after I play with the sound, but it usually doesn't. Do any of you guys know how to fix this? oh also, the green light turns on but the timer won't go! HELP!

Name of a method

I'm fairly new to cubing and would lie to learn the method that is pronounced like roo or ru or something. Can anyone tell me the name of the method and a link to a tutorial?

I have links to five other Roux tutorials in my sig if you want, but I think DeeDubb's is probably best for beginners.

How does COLL ZBLL and Winter variation work?

So i'm just wondering how do the following methods work COLL, ZBLL and Winter variation. Thanks

COLL - if the edges of the last layer are already oriented, COLL solves OLL while permuting the corners, resulting in an EPLL (edge PLL). It requires 42 algorithms.
ZBLL - solves the entire last layer in one algorithm given that the edges are oriented. There are 493 cases including PLLs.
Winter Variation - orients the last layer corners while inserting the last F2L pair. If the edges are already oriented, you will get an OLL skip. It requires 27 algorithms.

Yau time breakdown

What is the ideal time breakdown for a 4x4 Yau time for a n second solve:

Can you please tell me the times for:

Centers, Cross edges, Remaining centers, EP, F2L and LL for:

n = 80 seconds:
n = 70 seconds:
n = 60 seconds:

Why does the WCA website have different shades of purple in the 'competition' section
I think blue is past competitions, light purple is where registration hasn't opened/it's on another website (I think this is it because there's nothing after the information at the top of the page; example) and the darker purple is where people can/have registered on the WCA website.

I want to upload a video of my solves in slow motion .. but I tried like idealshare, movieavi and bla bla bla, cant find a good one yet .. If you guys seen Paradox's 240FPS iphone video, im looking for an app something like that on pc ..

I don't think an app will get you there. You have to get a slow motion camera. I only know the iPhone 5s for sure has one. No clue about other brands. Or you could buy a non-phone camera to film slow motion.

wow, that was quick ! :tu
yeah .. if thats the case, if there any app that will slow down a video (fps) just so i get to see a clear slow motion of what im doing in the video ?
instead of getting a new camera/phone ? cause my stupid s2 doesn't have a slow motion option

You could probably just use windows movie maker or any other free video editing program to make videos half speed. The video will be more choppy but it should still be decent to watch
