Errr, I have never, ever messed up blue and green.
Light blue helps a little bit, but... even with the standard cubesmith colors, those two colors are completely polarizing differences.

Or maybe it's just me, because I have green on D and blue on U.

Ok, I figured out (with a little help) the domino, or centre section of the cubic 3x3x4. When I got to the last 2 layers (top and bottom) I can't quite work it out.

I've solved everything except for 2 corners which are switched, and then something that looks like PLL parity on a 4x4, on the edges. If I hold Yellow top, Green Front, the 2 switched corners are up left front, and up right front. It's like a t-perm, but without the edges switched.

Then, the middle two pieces on right front, are switched with the middle two pieces in back right. They need a direct swap, like PLL parity on the right face.

Hope this has been clear, and thanks in advance.

Another probability question here on the most bizzarre solve I've ever done.

I was playing around with Roux, which I used for a while alongside fridrich, when I had this solve. It was from a hand scramble unfortunately but it was a thorough scramble with one piece for the block alligned. The solve went as follows:

Built first 1x2x3 block on red/black and the adjacent blue-black edge solved itself. Build second 1x2x3 block on orange/black and green-black was solved. Sune -> T-Perm.

Anyone know what the chances of this happening are? It also happened to be a personal best at 17.90. Should I consider this lucky? It seems very strange and totally unplanned. =/ it was basically a fridrich solve with a two edge cross skip.

How efficient is using tapping as a memo method compared to image/sentence building methods, in terms of how long it takes memorize it? I find tapping and just "remembering" the pieces a lot less stressful and quicker at the moment. I know alot of people probably don't know the answer, so I'm just hoping for an opinion from any BLDer

I'm still trying to get my first BLD solve, and like you, I find tapping a lot easier.

On the wiki it says that people can sub-1 with it, so I guess it's good.

The way I see it, it's personal preference. If tapping works better for you, then by all means use it. I use letters myself, though. :)

are blue type F's better than all the others? That;s what I heard

According to the world champion, mister Breandan Vallance, coloured cubes tend to be better.

You know... I repeatedly hear that white/blue are the best colored cubes, yet I refuse to believe them.

I've never actually tested this though... I should buy a white type A and compare it to my black on my next cube order (which should be a few weeks before spring break)
