I think you have parity which I don't know how to solve. Is that the 4x4 Hexagonal dipyramid?

Yeah, for sure it's sime kind of parity. I've solved many picture cubes, that the center orientation is relevant but this never happened. Yes, it's a 4x4 Hexagonal dipyramid (or bipyramide?)

I am trying to solve a 4x4x4 hexagonal dipyramid and keep ending with one center group that needs to be rotated 90 degrees to complete. Does anyone know an algorithm for a single center rotation on a 4x4x4?
You can't do that without swapping other pieces. However, if you can find two centers or two corners that look the same, then you can do it. (For the same centers, you would solve it with pure center commutators; for the same corners, you could do a T perm to rotate the center by 90 degrees and swap the two corners, and then fix the edges with commutators.)

Hope this helps.

My wittwo v1 came in the mail today. While it cuts way better than my lanlan is it not near as fast. and it is very crunchy sounding. Is this normal or did I get a bad one.

I have lubed it and I am fairly certain it is not tensioned too tight. Unscrewed each side a quarter turn from all the way in 9 times so far and no difference.

Will the SS 7x7 mini be the right size if my hand is 180mm long (7 1/8 inches or 18.0975 centimeters) or should I get the regular sized one?

I have the same size hands as you( i actually measured lol) and I am getting the mini. My reason is that my 6x6 fits perfectly in my hands and the mini 7x7 is only slightly larger.

Two questions:

How are wide turns supposed to be written down in FMC? Like Rw, or like r?

Do you think the Shengshou 4x4 v5 needs the Konsta mod? I noticed that mine doesn't have all that much of a locking problem.

All WitTwo's sound like that, don't worry. About the speed, I don't really remember how it was when I got it, but now it's pretty fast, maybe just needs some breaking in. Is it so slow that you get a lot worse times because of it?

They are the same pretty much. The problem with my lanlan was lock ups, since the wittwo doesn't lock up, they should have improved slightly.

1. Rw is what is stated in the regulations. Please check them instead of asking.

2. If you dont need it, then you don't need it.

If it doesn't have a locking problem, it's not needed. I don't even think it needs modding at all.

comparing my modded v3 with my unmodded v5, the v5 is already better out of the box and tensioned than my modded v3 after tons of breaking in.
