I already answerd your question 8 hours ago in the other thread you created...

if someone could properly tell me how to enter my first compotition that would help out alot

go to WCA website
go to "competitions"
click the competition you'd like to go to
click the competition website
click "register"
fill in your details
done

Tip: don't create new threads for questions like this and use the one answer question thread instead.

What happened to Matyas Kuti? Did he give up on cubing? I think his ban ended two years ago and he haven't gone to a competition yet.

To answer your question, you don't need to register with the WCA itself. You register for the competition you want to go to. To search for a competition to go to, go to the WCA website http://www.worldcubeassociation.org and click on Competitions. There you'll find all recent and upcoming competitions. Click on the link for the competition you want to go to and you should find a link to the website of the competition. To register, you usually have one two ways to register, depending on what the organiser has chosen. You can either register on the WCA page of the competition, in that case, you'll see a link to 'registration form' on the page. If not, click on the link to the competition website where you'll find instructions for registration.

On the registration form, you'll be asked to give your WCA ID. If it's your first competition, you don't have and and you can leave this field empty. You'll get your WCA ID when the results are posted on the WCA website, usually within a few days after the competition.

Hope this will help you and enjoy your first competition.

EDIT: Sorry Cubenovice, I was typing my answer while you posted yours.

Hey guys,
Somehow I got the impression that you should sand down the lip of the edge pieces to do the 48 point edge mod instead of using a blade and scraping it. I used some 180 grit sand paper and did that for every edge of my cube. It looks fairly smooth but it has loss its slippery, glossy feeling. Here is a picture of one of the edges. Does it look alright?

That looks fine. I sanded mine too and if you were careful you could even take a really fine grit sand paper and try to "buff it" or if you have a dremel with a polishing attachment that might work too. After that just lube it and solve like crazy and it will start to feel better than normal soon!

Would the Dayan + Mf8 4x4 be recommended for my main 4x4?

The Dayan + MF8 is definitely a good 4x4, it is extremely smooth, however it pops and you have to make sure the tensions are set just right. Personally I prefer the SS V3, which so happens to be way cheaper as well as a better cube.

His bans starts when he pays the price money back, which he hasn't done yet

From here it looks like his ban should've been lifted in 2011? And other than Haiyan and Matyas, are there anyone else that has been banned by WCA?
