Hey guyz,

I recently got given a random '2 bar' 3x3 cube... it has a bar between the orange and red, which goes over the yellow face... and green and blue over white on the other...
My question is where can i find tutorials/information about this cube? its getting really annoying now... =\

Here are the pics...
... images didnt work,
im uploading my images onto imgur atm....

Update* its finished!

Hold bars on L and R, along the E layer, so you can turn M. Solve corners with R2 U R2 U' R2 or R2 U R2 U' R2 U' D R2 U' R2 U R2 D' then solve the D layer edges with M' U(',2) M. Orient U edges with M U M' U2 M U M' or (M' U')4 (U' M')4 then permute U edges with M2 U' M' U2 M U' M2

My guhong's corner cutting is awful (it can't cut over 20 degrees), and sometimes it locks up while Im executing an algorithm.
what should I do in order to fix that? (I already lubed it with lubix).

You can absolutely make that go away. Take the springs out of those sides. When you look at the springs there should be a visible end to each spring at either end. What you're hearing is that raised metal on th end scratching your screw head. If you take a file and gently smooth that end point on either end of the spring your scratching sound should go away. I despise that sound and have done this to every cube I own and they none scratch.

cool! thanks.
the sides don't do it anymore.

I did a Square-1 scramble, with the WCA scrambler, and got a cube shape, not matching the "what it should look like picture". I've tried it multiple times. Is it just because the scrambler messed up, or what? The scramble was: (0,3) (0,6) (6,3) (2,0) (1,1) (5,2) (-5,3) (0,1) (-1,3) (-3,0) (3,0) (0,2) (4,1) (0,3) (3,2) (6,0) (-3,0) (0,0)

Holy crap that's amazing!
lol but now it pops like hell...
I need to find the thin line between too loose and not loose enough.
Thanks!
Also, if you didn't know, Torpedoes are like an attachment that you can add to some cubes (like a guhong) that make it very difficult to pop a cube, gives you a bit more freedom with tension. Some cubes also come with torpedoes already in them (I believe the guhong v2 and zanchi do, not sure about others). But of course this is only if you are willing to spend the extra money for the new cube/the torpedoes.

If you are looking for a guide on tensioning your cube there are some good ones around on youtube, here is one I saw recently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlumT6dX6K0&list=UUBtt3ISTKAgmwkJ3fYIuS1Q&feature=plcp
Although the method provided in that video is pretty good, when I tried it on my cube it was far tighter than I liked to get the "sweet spot" where it cut 45 degrees, so I loosened it a bit more to my liking in exchange for like 1-5 degrees of corner cutting, but ya you should be cutting more than 20 degrees (although reverse corner cutting will be less)

I did the scramble twice and I got squares on the top and bottom with the middle being not square (too lazy to remember the name)

I don't confirm this (I get double kite). Are you sure you understand the last (0,0) correctly ?

I just put this into Prisma, and it doesn't come out with a cube shape according to the scramble visualisation.

Siamese Cube - Which side on top?

I bought two cubes, and i wondered what side to be the top. It seems like everyone has different tops, but i wanna know which one is the 'official' color to be placed on top.

View attachment 2010

(the weird text is chinese, but open it.) What color do you have in the white area, the grey area, and the black area. (Tell me, use BOY only)

cmon no replies? (lol)

I ordered a Lightake package about a week ago and I still haven't received a shipping code. Do I need to ask them for one?

I think you will get one at your account!

I have started solving Square-1 but I am having big problems with the EP.

How many algs do you recommend me to learn and which?
