You might want to find algs where you can turn U and D with your left hand while holding on with your right hand and do the first slice like R, the next like R' , then you don't waste time regripping. As for a fingertrick guide, I haven't found one yet.

What's the generally accepted time to start learning stuff like beginner's Fridrich Method? Right now I'm on about 55 seconds with Rubiks' Method and I think my f2l is slowing me down.

Now. Whenever you feel somewhat comfortable with simply solving the cube. Slowly introduce yourself to concepts and be much more relaxed about solving, to ease your mind as you grasp new concepts. As for last layer don't sweat it, learn a couple algs a day of like 4LLL, and you're set for sub-30.

If you're too tense/too fast/too worried about your times you might develop bad habits like I did in LSE. Now my LSE is terrible in comparison to blocks all because I pause in LSE... now it's a big hassle trying to teach myself to relax and be smooth...

In my opinion, the best time is as soon as you get a cube. That way you don't have habits and such.

Except, most people don't know any cubers until they have delved into speedsolving. But like the two before me said, there isn't a starting time, whenever you feel like it. An alg a day was the way I learned it.

Is the Shenshou 4x4 v3 modification worth it?
Has anyone tried it?
The touch felt so good initially when compared to my Maru (piece of trash) but I feel as if it could be much better without the numerous minor lock ups.

When Youtube counts views for your video, is it counted on on many times it starts or how many people watch the whole entire thing?
I'm pretty sure it's how many times it's started. Because a lot of people don't watch videos straight from start to finish, there would be much less views if they only counted those people.

You can learn F2L and fridrich whenever you like it. Now, tomorrow, whenever. There is no limit on when, I mean, you just have to get comfortable with cube and you're set to go. You might lack some notation skills, but that will be self-explanatory and it'll work it self out. Some people even skip beginners method and go with Fridrich.

And for F2L slowing you down, it is perfectly normal. You haven't practiced enough and you aren't really good with it yet. Once you get hardcore with F2L, I promise you, your times will be at least 5-10 seconds better than before. For me, getting real good with F2L improved 25-30 seconds of my time. That's a big difference!

New Dayan Cores

Has anyone seen izo's guhong 2 review? In it, he talks about how the guhongs and newer zhanchis come with more "white" colored cores. He also says that the screws no longer go crooked when you try to screw them in. Has anyone used/have them? Thoughts? I know that lubix is working on aluminum cores or something

i have try a mod of my own that its much much better than the one on youtube and it worth the time and effort i mean i have no lock ups only on extreme wired cases that i force the cube too much. i was planning to made a video but i have no time for that at the moment but what it really makes the lock ups on the ss 4x4 its the inside part of the edge pieces where it have an extra thing of plastic so u should take that and also do what the video says because that although its not the main problem it helps a bit more on smoothness. maybe next next month ill make the video because to make it as best as possible it actually mod a little of every piece
