As I have gotten sub 20 avg on the 3x3, ( finally! ) I have decided to start moving onto the bigger cubes. My mains are a mini dayan + mf8 4x4, a V cube 5, 6, and 7. The 4x4, 5x5, 7x7 are great cubes for me, but 6x6 pops about one dozen times a solve! I am forced to turn relatively slowly, very frustrating :fp. I have been told to break in cube, but I have been using for about 2 month now... will this require mod? I am not very experienced with mod, I have taken apart and reassembled my 6x6, but it is pain in the butt, so I would rather not. Does anybody have tricks or tips on making my v cube 6 better?
If it's that bad, then I'd first recommend making the core adjustable using this tutorial, and then at least doing the first step of this tutorial.

it means the substance cannot be replicated without using the same materials. Also, dif oil feels diffferent because it has more of a gooey like texture

thats true so the oil can not give you the same results

I'd like to see your evidence that Maru is liquid silicone. It's definitely not silicone oil, unless it is dyed and a very low viscosity.

David Joyner in his book "Mathematics of the Rubik's Cube" wrote about how to compute effect of basic moves on the edge orientations of Pyraminx.

You have to mark with "+" one of two stickers on each edge piece in solved configuration. Also, you need to mark with "+" position of this sticker. So you have 6 marked stickers and 6 marked positions. If sticker with mark "+" is in position "+" then the edge piece is correctly oriented, and vice versa.

Cool beans. Thanks for the reference, I'll read some of it.
