My Zhanchi at the moment when solved is very even in turning, as I scramble it some sides get stiff and some turn very very very smooth, how can I get all of the sides to be consistant while turning?

disassemble it completely, then reassemble making sure that all screws point straight up and that u screw all the sides on equally (veryimportant). If this still doesn't work then there is most likely something wrong with your cube and you will just have to experiment with different tensions on different sides. Hope this helps.

Is the QJ Megaminx vII anything like the first? How does it compare to the mf8 and Meffert's Megas?

It's a lot faster/smoother/overall better than the first. The old one used to pop like crazy and not turn well. The second one is almost as good or better (depends on how lucky you get) than the mf8/meffert ones. I just don't really like the stickers on mine. It's almost impossible to tell the difference between blue/purple, red/orange, and the 2 purples.

Thanks :)
I'll make sure to get some Cubesmith stickers too then, or perhaps the tiles if they're worth the $11.

I have 2 questions, does anyone know of a vid that shows how to lube a mf8 teraminx (I just got one and it is horrible out the box). 2nd question, is there a vid on how to mod the SS 5x5 from lock ups thats a little better to understand than the one that kid from germany put on youtube. thanks

Repost from 3 days ago since no one responded..

I've been practicing pretty much 4x4x4 only recently, my main goal to be sub-1:15. I average about 1:25. I solve centers in ~20, edges in ~35, and 3x3x3 in ~30. Which of these 3 numbers would be the fastest to improve? I feel like my centers are slow, would it make a large difference to become color neutral? (I solve blue first, for crosses and centers).

I solve 3x3x3 in about 23 seconds on a normal cube. fridrich with 3-look LL

Im not good at 4x4, mainly because i dont practice it, but ive done quite some research on it.
I would say, you should work on your centers. Being color neutral is the best thing to do, since there are no centers. Try to cut the 20 to a 10.
And if you average 23 on a normal cube, do your best to do the same with the 4x4. Practice solving your 3x3 with no inspection, because when you finish the edges on a 4x4, you dont have time to inspect.

I would say work on edges, find a pairing pattern that suits you and drill it..
But still, lowering your 3x3 times would be more useful..

Do you mean lowering my 3x3x3 times on a 3x3, or on the 4x4? I'm not really interested in practicing 3x3, it just kinda bores me.
