Would Y turns be better or d and d's?

Depends on how fast they are. For me y turns are way faster than d/d' because I like solving F2L with R and U and I never use double turns unless it's r/r' for OLL/PLL. Time yourself doing y turns then time with d/d' and see which one's faster. If they're the same just pick the one you think is easier/most comfortable.

I buying a speedstacks stackmat timer V2 and a mat. My qj is just too simple with only the timer itself. I like lots of features. My question is where can I buy a speedstacks timer V2 and speedstack mat (mini or regular, as long as its cheaper) for under $40? The official site's shipping is WAY too much. Cubershop maybe? EDIT: NEEDS DATAPORT

Whats the current best 4x4 other than the x-cube? Also, what is the most common/fastest method for edges? Yau or 3-2-2-2-3?

Does anyone know how to fix my qj timer (its the newest one with 2 batteries btw) it keeps displaying 88:88.88 sometimes when i turn it on, press reset or stop it, ive already tried replacing the batteries

Noob questions for multiblind:
Are you allowed to use a stickerless/color cube in mulitblind?
Check time 6m39s

I love those things

Make sure the batteries are put in properly and make sure the plastic that covers the batteries is putting pressure on them. SCREW IT TIGHT. I had the same problem too.

For pandadudeex96: The official one is 35" by 13"

People use ortega which is a very simple method with only a few algs. Cll are for people who want to get sub 4-5 (I think more than 30 algs). And eg which is cll and more algs.

Is this a real stackmat timer and does anyone own one like it?

Lets say 3 guys are named Smith and they all compete in a tournament.
John Smith enters one in 2010
Paul Smith enters one in 2010
Robert Smith enters one in 2011

Would their WCA ID's be as follows?
John - 2010SMIT01
Paul - 2010SMIT02
Robert - 2011SMIT01

Or would Robert have the ID 2011SMIT03?

Robert would have the ID 2011SMIT01; the last number starts new every year.
