I am sub-25 , but i feel like my turn movement is kind of slow maybe its because the angle my hands get in when i am doing an algorithm. In general how can i get my hand speed faster ?

I'm a slow turner too, and have always worked on smoothness rather than high turn speed and I'm now increasing my turn speed a little to get even faster. But if I increase it too much I hesitate.

Work on your smoothness. When most people try to turn fast they go all jerky and lock up...
If you work on smoothness and flowing solves (practice slow turning), then increasing turn speed will be very easy. There's no point turning fast if you hesitate.

Recently, I've started learning Ortega for the 2x2x2 (You know, make a face, OLL, PBL).
Seems to me the 2 *worst* PBL cases are where the bottom layer is already solved (it'll be a T-Perm or a Y-Perm).
Most of the other algs are ~7 moves. I can *barely* sub-2 a T-Perm on a good 3x3, a 2x2 is slower. I doubt if I can Sub-3 a Y-Perm on a 2x2x2.

As I'm colour neutral, would it make sense in pre-inspection to *reject* any first-face that solved the entire first-layer (and look for something else)?

Maybe algs fot T and Y perm are the slowest, but short recognition time, and easy AUFs make up for that... at least for me..

Y perm: yeah this sucks...
You could try replacing the T-perm with A-perm or J-perm
A-perm saves some moves and J is only interesting if it has a nicer flow for you than T-perm.

I've got a LanLan 2 months ago. The cube was okay but few days ago I've decided to do a modification:
1. I've replaced LanLan springs with ball pen's springs(It make my cube move really fast)
2.I've sanded down the corners to make them more rounded(They look like a Type C WitTwo cube)
And here is a question:
What should I do know? The corner cutting is a bit worse than it was after replace the springs. Is there anything what I could do with inner mechanism. I just need only bit better corner cutting nothing more.

Thanks BLD ,and yes i have the problem that i try to turn fast and it goes all jerky and locks too. I am gonna go for smoothness :)

i have a problem with connection my stackmat timer to my mac. I have a 2.5 to 3.5 mm adapter and an audio-cable. But it only work if i just put one plug in the half. I hope you understand me. Can you help me what i have to do? is it because I use a stereo-cable and not an mono-cable?
