I however recommend going through each case and seeing how you would do it, then see the "optimal alg" for that case and see if you are doing it correct. That way you won't get into the alg mindset when you do F2L

Yeah, I didn't do that. Other than maybe one or two cases I use pretty much exactly what badmephisto teaches. It really come back to bite you so learn it once and learn it right. I'll optimize my F2L soon though.

Completely Agree, intuitive is the way to go as a foundation. Remember all algs are based on no open slots and you have at least one 3/4 of the time which can save many moves. As for which algorithms to give priority I'd say as a general rule if you are looking at two connected pair pieces its worth looking at the algorithm for optimisation, you'd be surprised how many you don't see optimal moves in intuitive, especially the cases where they are both in U or both in place.

Freshcuber, badmephistos "algs" for F2L are all good, those F2L cases he teaches is exactly what I was referring to. His F2L PDF document has all the F2L cases algs on there. Besides the terrible lowercase d and d' moves he frequently has in there, those are fine.

Aye I am so guilty of overuse of d and d'. Even at my terrible times it has to make a difference :(

Hey, guys I've had my Cubetwist Clock for 3 days now and it's my favorite puzzle and it might be my main event. I have only solved it a few times until just now and I did about an hour of clock practice and I started with and avg of 12: 46.51 seconds and I just did an avg of 12: 22.15. I was wondering if that was good practice and I should keep going I does it suck and is that abnormally slow for that much practice?
