If anyone uses the single headlights algorithm R2 D' R U2 R' D R U2 R, how did you memorize it? I having trouble doing so.

It was easy for me to memorize that for COLL because I had already memorized its mirror, R2 D R' U2 R D' R' U2 R'.
If I were to memorize it form scratch, though, I would think of it as (R2 D' R) (U2 R' D R) (U2 R). The first segment is super easy to memorize- it's just three moves, turning only two faces, and as long as you're using conventional fingertricks, you'll be using only your right hand.

The next two parts, explained simply, move an F2L pair out of the way, change the bottom layer, and put the F2L pair back in. After performing R2 D' R, look at what U2 does. It takes the F2L pair elsewhere. Doing R' D R doesn't affect that F2L pair, but does fix the bottom layer, so that U2 R will put it back in, solve the F2L, and finish the alg. If you have trouble remembering which way the second D turn goes, just remember that it's the opposite way that the first one went (and the direction of the first one is easy to remember because it's D', which you use your right hand for in one motion with the R2), because it's "fixing" the damage that the first one did.
Maybe that didn't help, but hopefully it did. :P

Edit: Epically triple ninja'd

If you can learn to recognize which cases to use it for, you can force CP or PLL skips using Sune or Niklas for their respective cases.

Never really thought about that but I guess your right. I feel like because of how niklas works it would limit your pll cases but I dont know for sure. Any evidence to this?

My Maru 4x4x4 is getting really annoying with the core mis-alignments. What's your opinion on the best 4x4x4 I can buy that does NOT have this problem

my shengshou 4x4 turns pretty smoothly, and it doesn't have inner lock-ups, but requires a bit of modding before it gets amazing. It's almost completely identical, too. (comparing the pieces)

the v-cube 5 pi mod also reduces outer layer clicking. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAZOFqqD00I

If you normally hold it white top blue front, you could could accidently orient to yellow top. It's stupid.

Once I find the blue side, I can easily find the yellow side.

application tape is awesome

Doesnt always work. Especially with cubesmith stickers. I use tweezers to apply mine.

Do I tighten all six or just those 3 on the outside?

You tighten the the 3 on the inside. The outside screws should be as tight as possible. The inside ones(the 2x2/3x3core) are the ones you adjust for tension.
