where can i find a page explaning proper sq1 notation?
Here or here or here . I can't help you with the "pro-method" thing, I'm not a pro.

@BC1997: Competitions are organized and run by cubers, so where there are a lot of cubers, there usually are also a lot of competitions. There's got to be someone who is willing to organize the whole thing (getting a venue, getting a WCA-delegate, printing the scrambles, getting sponsors, ...), and there "should be at least 12 competitors". If no one has organized a comp in Malta before, you could just do it yourself. But it kind of only makes sense if there are other cubers in Malta who would come.

2nd. question: I guess you meant, how long it took, right? Like 8-10 minutes? On my first successful solve that is.

I've had my Maru 4x4 for over 2 months now. I solve it alot and have lubed and loosened the tensions a bit. The cube is pretty bad. The outer layers aren't really an issue. It's the inners. They are super rough, bumpy, and just crappy overall. I've sprayed with CRC and Maru lube and it didn't make a difference. Any way to make it better?
(Could it have been a B grade from china? I noticed most Maru's had better middle layers in videos. Their's was packaged differently than mine. I got mine from Cubedepot.)
