I would completely re-assemble a lube your cube, probably once a month. Anything longer than this and their tends to be so much dust that your sneezing while taking your cube apart.

easiest way to recognize. It's fast for recognition but the link doesn't have what I think to be the best algs.

Use a method that doesn't use a lot of moves. I think one of the block building methods are good. This obviously rules out Fridrich.
