The 5x5x5 V-Cube Standard Set from cubesmith.com is different from the stickers that come with the v-cube5, right ?

The CSblue is darker than the V.

Can some one please reccommend a good vid to show how to get faster at 5x5?
Edit: Btw my 5x5 v cube just came it kinda has like a bumpy feel with the outer layers, What do i do, do i just keep solving the cube to break it in or is ther a way to smoothen them out

MeMyselfandPi did have a vid on youtube. Essentially, you just sand "ridges" on the corner bases until it is smooth.

Yes. Thank you sir.

When you do your cross planning, do you remember it in notation (e.g. F L D' B' R' D2) or just generally what you'll need to do ("OK, so I'll bring this edge down here, which brings this one up so that I can place it correctly...)

The second one.

OMG de ja vu I swear these exact two posts have been in here before. Except I think the reply was "the latter". Wow

I asked this question. :D If I remember correctly, I think it was stinkocheese who replied "The second one".

does the core really matter? I ask this because my AV came with an AV core and an AI core aswell. The AV core was defective so i used the spare core which lackes the ball shape in the middle! does this matter?

How long should centres take on 5x5 for about a 2:20 solve?
Because I average about 2:50 and they take like 50-55 sec usually

I average around 2:20 and mine take around 38-47
You should work on your centers. It's pretty easy to get them down to 30-35.

I average 2:00, and my splits are 30-60-25.

Is there a way to get faster at them other than practicing, because 5x5 is like all ive done in the last 4/5 days and I havent gotten faster at centres.

I average about 2:10 and my splits are 40 60 30. Ben you need to work on your edge pairing.

How much do you do 5x5? I was at around 3 minutes and my average dropped to about 2:30 just by doing 100 solves each day for 2 days.

well for the pst like 4 days ive done like 30 solves each and I went from about 3:15/3:20 to 2:45/2:50

Well if you practice but continue to solve them inefficiently you won't see much improvement.
