How do you fix a scrambled master magic? Do you just fool around with it like you do with the magic? It's impossible ...

I had the same problem not too long ago I just played around with it and eventually got it, but it could take a while

Ok, I got to the standard 2x6 shape. Although, the rings are totally screwed up. What are the moves that I can do from here to get the 5 rings back?

The only 2 I can think of are:

To flip the outer left and right panels in, bring a panel on the left side down and on the right side up. Then fixing by pulling both sides out (beginning of Ooms method)

and to flip the upper 1x6 down to the lower 1x6. Then pick up the sides and kind of do a rolling motion to the side (I do this on magic a lot to fix it)

Anything else I can do from here?

Just got a F-II from PopBuyiing today. Very pleased with it. But there are some lube inside it right out from the box. Should I clean it out and apply shock oil instead?

What type of lube does the mini type C and C-II use?

Anyone? Or does anyone know what type of lube Cs react well too? I just lubed my C-II with CRC because the old lube wore off already and now it's not as good.

I used Jig-a-loo in mine and it's one of the best type Cs I've tried. They need a lot of working in before they're good and Jig-a-loo definitely helps achieve that.

Any great tips on how to get from ~30 to ~20?
I know practice practice practice and go slow and look ahead, but what else?

This is contra to what I would usually say here, but for me personally the only thing I had to do to get sub-30 was to fully learn the method I was working on. When I was sup-30 I didn't know all of the Fridrich LL algs, and simply learning all the rest of what I didn't know pushed me comfortably sub-30.

I should probably advise you to work on your F2L, which is always a good thing to practice, but at the same time that's not how I made it sub-30 myself.

Hope this helps,
Chris

Nah. The Lube that comes with the F-II is very nice. I'd just keep it until you feel that it needs to be relubed. Wash the cube, and then use your normal lube.

If my average is ~30s, what should my PLL time attack be?
It depends on which PLL's youre using. Maybe 40 or so seconds...
I dunno about most people... but I average 14-16 seconds, and my time attacks are only 45ish seconds on the average PLL time attack (meaning a lock up here and there).

I average ~16 on 3x3 but my PLL attacks are ~55 (PB is 50.0x)

for a 30 sec average, i'd probably guess 50 seconds for PLL time attack

Does that mean Ben and I are way behind our PLL speeds? Both of are sub 17 and both of us aren't that much under 50 seconds. =/

I actually have several questions, but I don't want to make a whole thread, so:

1. I got my FII finally, but at the moment it's super tight so it's slow. I tried getting the center caps off to loosen it, but about half of them won't go off. I haven't tried a blade yet because every time I pick one up, I manage to cut myself, but I can if that's necessary. The real question: Is there an easy way to get tight FII (center) caps off easily?

2. I'm liking my QJ pyraminx, but of course it's slow out-of-the-box. I looked around for how to lube it, but I can't find anything, although I know I've read it before. So how do I lube it? I have Jig-a-Loo and liquid lube from PB (supposedly Diansheng), which one is better?

3. For my pyraminx, is it better to take out the ball bearings or leave them in? If so, how do I get a piece out to get to them?

I have one too, I don't know about the PB lube, but I used Jig-A-Loo on mine. Just put the straw on and spray in that little hole where the centers meet.

Edit: My question: what are 3 gen, 6 gen etc?

Leave the ball-bearings in unless you want a lock up every turn.
